We are delighted to announce that two research projects will be commissioned through the Research Hub in 2021.
All research ideas submitted during the '21 call for proposals were discussed and evaluated by the Research Hub's Research Panel. The two projects which scored most highly, and which therefore will be funded in 2021 are as follows:
'Plant Response Test Failures: Investigation of contaminants and phytotoxins in 'End of Waste' composting feedstocks and finished composts'
and;
'Evaluation of the potential for the improvement of the Residual Biogas Potential test and investigation of alternative test procedures for PAS110 biofertilisers'
2021 marks the first year since the Hub's inception whereby more than one project has been funded in a single year. This is an exciting and important milestone for the Research Hub, our CCS/BCS operators, and the composting and anaerobic digestion communities.
The Research Hub will be seeking to appoint a contractor for the respective projects, and a Tender Invitation Document (TID) for each project will be circulated in the coming weeks. If you are interested in tendering for the work, please keep your eyes peeled for the TID, and don't hesitate to contact Olivia Furssedonn, Research Hub Manager using olivia@realschemes.org.uk, should you have any questions in the meantime.
See attached the Project Brief for each project, providing further details on the work to be funded.
